Minneapolis Chiropractic FAQ

What do you all do at your clinic?

Mostly chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture. That is the short version. People come in with whatever is bugging them — back stuff, neck stuff, random tight spots they cannot shake. Some folks just want to feel a little more normal again after weeks of sitting too much. Hard to sum it up neatly. We just try to help people feel better than they did walking in.

What kinds of problems do people usually show up with?

Everything from “my back grabbed me this morning” to “this has been bothering me for… honestly I lost track.” A lot of stiffness, headaches, hip things that show up after years of ignoring them. Wrist issues from computer work. A few auto-injuries. Some people do not even know what is wrong, they just know something is off.

Is chiropractic going to hurt?

Not typically. It is not dramatic. Most people expect fireworks and it ends up being pretty normal. If something does not feel right, you say so. We change what we are doing. Nothing is set in stone.

Why do so many people here get massages too?

Because their muscles are tired, tight, overworked, or all three. And honestly, a lot of people forget how much tension they carry around until someone actually works on it. The therapists all do things a little differently. You do not need to know which technique you need — we figure it out as we go.

I have never tried acupuncture. Is it weird?

Not really. The needles are extremely small. You mostly lie there and things quiet down. It is the closest a lot of people get to an actual rest during the week. People come in for pain, stress, headaches, sleep… or because someone else told them it helped and they figured, “why not.”

Do you take insurance?

For chiropractic, yes — Auto and Work Comp.
Everything else is paid at the visit. If you want to know whether your specific plan covers anything, calling is faster than emailing. The insurance world is… its own thing.

What happens at the first appointment?

We talk. You move a bit. We see what your body is doing or not doing. Nothing dramatic. Usually you get treated that same day unless something clearly needs more attention first.

How long until I feel better?

Some people feel something the first day. Others not for a bit. It depends how long the issue has been hanging around and what is feeding it. Bodies have their own timelines no matter what anyone tries to promise.

Do you work with kids or older adults?

Yes. Everyone gets treated differently. Kids need lighter work. Older adults need a steadier pace. We do not do the same thing for every person; that would not make sense.

How do I make an appointment?

Online is fine. Calling is fine. Whatever you prefer. If you are not sure whether to schedule chiropractic or massage or acupuncture first, just ask and we can point you in the right direction.

What makes your clinic different?

People say it feels low-pressure and calmer than they expected. We are not big on pushing long treatment plans or talking in circles. Most of what we do is just paying attention — your posture, your habits, how you move through the day — and trying to help things settle so your body does not keep yelling at you.
