What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture focuses on energy, or Qi, instead of the biological and chemical processes of the human body. To balance this energy in patients, acupuncturists use very thin needles, herbal medicine, cupping, ear seeds, dietary therapy, and lifestyle recommendations . The theory is that Qi flows through meridians, or energetic pathways, in the body. Acupuncture points along the meridians correspond to certain internal organs, body parts, or energetic actions, such as warming, cooling, activating, or calming. The role of an acupuncturist is to assist in balancing energy flow so the body can repair itself.

Conditions commonly treated by acupuncture are muscle and joint pain, tension, stress, headaches, arthritis, tinnitus, headaches, migraines, brain fog, fatigue, poor memory, dizziness, anxiety, depression, PTSD, digestive issues, PMS, irregular menstruation, infertility,  auto immune conditions, diabetes, long Covid, thyroid conditions, lyme disease, chronic cough, allergies, asthma, and more. Please call if you are wondering if acupuncture would be helpful for your condition.

Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture

True beauty comes from within. Mei Zen means ‘beautiful person’ in Chinese. The Mei Zen system follows Traditional Chinese Medicine principles to treat the mind, body, and spirit for a radiant complexion, reduction of fine lines, firmer skin, reduced puffiness, and improved wellness.

The Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture System is a unique method utilizing tiny acupuncture needles at a very shallow depth. The needles are inserted into the dermis layer, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. The treatment ends with relaxing facial and scalp acupressure.

The recommended treatment plan is twice a week for five weeks. After five weeks your body will be in a good place to maintain the healing that has taken place.

The long term maintenance plan recommended is to come in once a month and every two years do another round of ten treatments over the course of five weeks.
